Stanley Cup, Calder Cup to make special appearance at Nationwide Arena on Sept. 9 courtesy of Tortorella Family FoundationCOLUMBUS, OHIO – The Stanley Cup, the most storied trophy in sports, and the Calder Cup, awarded in 2016 to Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters – affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets – and for the past 80 years to the champions of the American Hockey League, will be on display at Nationwide Arena on Friday, September 9 as part of the celebration of that night's World Cup of Hockey 2016 Pre-Tournament game between the United States and Canada.Courtesy of the Tortorella Family Foundation, fans will have the opportunity to take their own photos with the Cups from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Nationwide Arena Activity Center, located near off Nationwide Blvd.near the McConnell Street entrance.

NHL veteran Jarret Stoll will come to training camp with the Blue Jackets after agreeing to a professional tryout agreement, which is not a contract but a chance to earn one.Stoll, 34, spent last season with the New York Rangers (29 games) and Minnesota Wild (51 games), totaling four goals, five assists and 36 penalty minutes in 80 games.He had been an unrestricted free agent.
