A young Bruins lineup dropped a 3-2 shootout decision to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first preseason game at the Garden last night, but a few of the highly touted rookies took some good first steps.Forward Danton Heinen tied the game in the third period on a nice tip of a shot from defenseman Brandon Carlo, who had a strong game.Jake DeBrusk, meanwhile, made a terrific, patient play to hang onto the puck and set up Jimmy Hayes for a tap-in goal on a 2-on-1.
